Job Description:
MIKEL, Inc. is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Program Support / Logistician to provide critical administrative and logistics support for Combat System Payload Integration efforts. This position will directly support the NUWCDIVNPT AUKUS team by managing technical documentation, coordinating milestones, and generating data reports. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of administrative efficiency and technical fluency in Navy submarine combat systems support environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and maintain Navy TEMPALT training materials (e.g., slide decks, student guides, job aids, checklists), ensuring alignment to current technical baselines and program procedures.
- Review training content for technical accuracy and completeness; coordinate SME reviews, incorporate feedback, and publish controlled updates with revision tracking.
- Develop and maintain installation and installation checkout materials, including prerequisites, required tools/test equipment, safety notes, hold points, step-by-step procedures, and acceptance/verification criteria.
- Validate installation and checkout documentation through peer review, walk-throughs/dry runs, and lessons learned; capture and implement improvements to reduce rework and execution risk.
- Develop, review, and update Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) information and sustainment artifacts (e.g., provisioning/spares recommendations, support equipment listings, maintenance planning inputs, operator/maintainer guidance), ensuring consistency with configuration baselines.
- Perform detailed technical reviews of TEMPALT Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; generate comment matrices, track adjudication/closure, and confirm incorporation into the controlled baseline.
- Collaborate with the Platform/Program Safety Function (PFS) to plan and execute safety assessments, support hazard identification/risk evaluation, document mitigations, and ensure traceability of hazards to controls.
- Generate briefing materials (technical, schedule, risk, and status) for internal leadership and external stakeholders; maintain standard templates and keep metrics and deliverables current.
- Communicate and coordinate across multi-disciplinary team members to align priorities, manage dependencies, track actions, and escalate issues with recommended paths forward.
- Interface with UK representatives and leads/SMEs across NUWC departments to coordinate requirements, interfaces, documentation, and installation approach; facilitate working sessions and capture decisions/action items for follow-through.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or logistics related field preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in a program support, logistics, or systems engineering role—preferably in a DoD or Navy acquisition environment.
- Familiarity with Navy submarine programs or tactical systems
- Experience working with tracking systems such as JIRA, SharePoint, and Microsoft Planner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
- Comfortable interfacing with engineers, developers, and government stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Navy Configuration Management, Test & Evaluation (T&E), or ILS functions.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Experience developing or maintaining Navy TDP or logistics products.
- Working knowledge of Navy milestone events, configuration control processes, and technical documentation.
- Prior experience managing calendars and technical meetings across complex program teams
- Prior-submarine-related experience-preferred but not required

Security Clearance Requirement:
Applicants must hold an active Secret clearance and meet eligibility for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual obligations.
