Configuration Management Specialist

Rite-Solutions, Inc is currently looking for a full-time Configuration Management Specialist II to support our Configuration Management (CM) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Team on-site at NUWCDIVNPT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, editing tracking and maintaining technical documentation such as Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Ready Reference Manuals (RRMs) and System Note Packages and other documentation for accuracy and compliancy in accordance with existing checklists
  • Coordinate with the Media Center and Delivery Team to stage Technical Manual/documentation deliveries
  • Coordinate with the Media Center and Delivery Team to prepare and review transmittal paperwork for shipments
  • Coordinate with the Media Center disposal requests and ensure obsolete documents have been destroyed
  • Provide Technical Manual lab support by ensuring the applicable documents are referenced/available to support software builds and testing
  • Generating new Technical Docs/Manuals Deficiency Evaluation Reports against existing technical manuals, as required.
  • Handling and storage of classified and unclassified material
  • Provide administrative support and maintenance to the Combat Control Systems document repository Support the in any tasks required including:
  • Upload receipts and file electronically
  • Track deliveries to ensure shipments have/had been received
  • BITs database tracking
  • Alfresco database (where documentation is found)
  • Follow up with Squadrons to confirm deliveries and notifications via phone calls/emails.
  • Work closely with Authorized Signature Managers to ensure their availability for signature of approval for all deliveries
  • Work closely with Installation Team Leads to determine installation requirements
  • Media duplication efforts for support with fleet installation media
  • Support and participate in CM/ILS Team meetings as required
  • Other tasks as assigned associated with media shipment/movement

Required Skills:

  • Effective communication, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience in MS Office including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Current DoD SECRET Clearance
  • High School Diploma or associates degree

Additional Skills of interest (not required):

  • Database experience: NTIRA, AIMTC, BITs
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with logistics/Configuration Management at NUWC
  • Drafting and submitting DD-1149s for shipments
  • Experience with Classified shipments
  • Experience working with Technical Manual Development efforts, preferably S1000D IETMs Experience with Navy Provisioning process and Naval Supply System
  • Experience with Navy Training Curriculum format and development
