Fire Control Documentation Specialist
Rite-Solutions, Inc., a growing and innovative CMMI Level 3 software and systems engineering company, is seeking skilled and motivated Submarine Documentation candidates in the Newport, RI area. The position is located on site at the customer location.
This position requires former US Navy Submarine Weapons with 10 years' experience, or equivalent work experience at least 16 years' experience to provide subject matter expertise for procedural documentation related to tactical weapon loading and handling and weapon emergencies products. The work location is on Government site, and all applicants are required to be able to comply with the applicable Government site access requirements.
Required applicate should have experience with or be able to demonstrate proficiency in:
- Submarine Weapons handling operations
- Development and delivery of Naval Ordnance Documentation in accordance with required formats, and schedule
- Respond to emergent or temporary change requests
- Maintain an accurate documentation inventory
- Microsoft Office tools with a focus on Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Electronic Media applications
- Quality Assurance experience
Preferred applicant will:
- Have excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Have advanced training or recent experience with OD44979 manuals
- Be highly a motivated self-starter
- Have extensive experience Submarine Weapons Handling Procedures
- Have the ability to travel (Foreign and Domestic)
- Hold an active Secret clearance
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Be a team player with positive attitude
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Review, analyze, and edit, Ordnance Documentation (OD) 44979 for compliance with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) approved standards and guidelines. Documents reviewed include baseline documents, change notices, advance change notices and temporary change notices.
- Maintain and update documentation inventory in Government Media Library database.
- Maintain and update OD 44979 information in Government CPRS database.
- Maintain and update ACCESS database detailing Document Requirement Lists (DRLs) for all submarines and various shore-site activities. Maintain and update ACCESS database of OD 44979 inventory on hand.
- Produce, assemble, and deliver documents and ensure each site receives the latest updates upon approval.
- Convert existing document formats to support incorporation into Interactive Electronic Procedure (IEP)
- Provide reports as required
- Support various working groups/meetings
Additional Requirements
Position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government; active clearance preferable.
