We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Candidates for a Program Analyst in the Norfolk, VA area.
The Surface Maintenance Engineering, Planning, Program (SURFMEPP) maintains, monitors, and refines Class-wide and Individual-Ship Maintenance Plans for all non-nuclear surface ships to ensure material readiness for the projected service life, develop life-cycle strategies to address system upgrades, and fully implement the Class Maintenance Plan into each surface ship's maintenance schedule and availability planning process. SURFMEPP is headquartered at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.
The Program Analyst acts as an assistant to the Subject Matter Expert concerning Ships' Depot Maintenance Mandatory Material Lists that support SURFMEPP's Directive Maintenance Strategies (DMS). He/she will assist with the identification and tracking of this mandatory Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) for Directive Maintenance Strategies (DMS) tasks being performed during ships' depot maintenance periods. He/she will be expected to track the identified material, analyze the data from different perspectives, and create briefs to communicate findings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide administrative support and coordination for the Management Material List (MML) efforts.
-Analyze NSN and supply system data.
-Ability to analyze the data from different perspectives.
-Create reports and briefs to display MML efforts.
-Expect to work within various Navy Maintenance and Logistics databases such as: M&SWP, VSB, NMD and MRQT.
-Demonstrate ability to follow direction and work within a team.
-Have a security clearance
-Ability to communicate and interact with various Maintenance Teams and Waterfront Offices
-Excellent attention to detail
-Experience of Navy Logistician operations
-Knowledge of NAVSUP or DLA products and information systems
-Familiarity with Navy Maintenance
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to brief audiences on findings as needed
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
