Product Owner
Rite-Solutions is seeking a full-time Product Owner to support on-site in Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of a team of experts charged with providing support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. Program scope includes identifying cyber key terrain by analyzing operational requirements, conducting cyber analyses and assessments, and developing and performing modeling and simulation in support of different cyber threat scenarios. The team will conduct cyber analyses and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks, determine mission and operational impacts, and make appropriate mitigation recommendations. Additionally, program support includes developing methodology and framework in support of cyber risk assessment life cycle. Our team will provide capabilities to support the customer with rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.
Job Description:
As Product Owner, you will collaborate in scrum ceremonies as part of an agile development effort including defining the product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities. You will also communicate with stakeholders throughout the project, including collaborating with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals. You will work closely with Product Management, Business Analyst and the scrum teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value.
Duties related to requirement analysis include:
- Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog.
- Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they're clearly understood by relevant teams.
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy.
- Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.
- Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
- Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions.
- Acquiring domain knowledge about the program and legacy system to enforce consistency on implementation strategy and solutions.
- Facilitating conversations with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Ensuring acceptance criteria of Program Increment (PI) objectives are met and priorities in the backlog are in line to the product roadmap.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. We are looking for someone experienced in interfacing with client managers and delivery teams developing applications to meet DoD needs.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- U. S. Citizenship and an active or Interim DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
- Experience with software engineering activities (analysis, requirements, design, code, test)
- Experience with collaborative tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Experience creating process flows, use cases and user stories.
- Experience with development and security operations (DevSecOps) including Docker containerized microservices, RedHat OpenShift platform, and Jenkins Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Ability to understand and solve technical problems.
- Ability to work as a member of a self-organizing team without daily direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a large, dynamic team environment.
- Ability to work directly with a variety of program stakeholders including sponsors, end-users, and contractors.
- Willingness to try new things and grow.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Visio and Project
Desired Skills/Qualifications (not required):
- Experience working on custom development software projects.
- Experience working with DoD customers.
- Experience working on cybersecurity projects.
- Experience with Communications, particularly Airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) is highly desired.
- Experience with Software Integrations is highly desired.
