Position Description

The Project Technical Lead is the Technical Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for a project or program. They provide subject matter expertise and oversee the design and development of the technical solution for a specific project assigned by a Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops and/or reviews the technical design document and supports the Project Manager in the development of related technical project schedules.
• Provides professional support to clients, Program Manager, and organizational leaders.
• Leads the design and development of the project's technical solution/requirements.
• Coordinates technical resources, monitors, and controls the development of the solution, and mentors the technical team.
• Must have the ability to collaborate with team members, multi-task, and adapt to change.
• Ensures the design and development efforts are completed within scope and schedule and meets quality standards.
• Responsible for generating and maintaining project/program technical documentation, presentations, reports, databases to meet customer requirements and assist in more efficient and effective operations

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Math or the Sciences, Network Engineering, Systems Software, or a related technical degree
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
• Proven ability to identify, quantify, and solve complex technical problems
• Sound judgement and decision-making skills
• Excellent customer and personal service skills
• Effective oral and written communications skills including communications with peers, project team members, and customers
• Position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance with the US Government

Additional kills of interest (not required):

• Experience with Atlassian Products, such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Experience with Linux based software applications
• Full stack knowledge using Java Spring Boot, React, and Postgres
• Knowledge of Micro-containers and Micro-service applications
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment
