Position Description:
This Cyber Security Analyst position in the Middletown, RI area will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Electronic Warfare (EW) Acquisition Engineering Agent (AEA). This position will join a multi-disciplinary team and support design and deployment of the EW system on US Navy vessels. We are seeking a candidate with the exceptional ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization. Organizational, critical thinking skills, and unwavering attention to detail are required to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 Electronic Warfare (EW) Acquisition Engineering Agent (AEA).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain relevant documentation related to information security
- Perform data entry into authorization management systems (eMASS and/or XACTA)
- Ensure organization's information assurance policies are meeting customer, regulatory, or industry requirements
- Validate all operating systems, software, and hardware are protected and compliant with organization policies
- Verify the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and technology through assessments against security controls and policy controls
- Assist the ISSO and ISSEs in evaluating new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
- Analyze the results of software, hardware, or interoperability testing
- Make recommendations based on test results
- Perform developmental testing on systems under development
- Record and manage test data, bugs, and security vulnerabilities
- Validate specifications and requirements for testability
- Test, evaluate, and verify hardware and/or software to determine compliance with defined specifications and requirements
Requirements / Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent Navy experience.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint is required.
- Security +
- May require up to 10% travel.
- Position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance with the US Government
Additional Skills of interest (not required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security/Computer Science
- Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
