Procurement Specialist

Rite-Solutions, Inc., growing and innovative CMMI Level III software and systems engineering company, is seeking skilled and motivated candidates for a Procurement Specialist position. This position is a Full-Time position with benefits, located in our Pawcatuck, CT and Middletown, RI office.

Job Description

  • Purchasing
    • Work with Purchase Requestors to facilitate procurement of goods and services
    • Review required Purchase Request documentation to ensure completeness with company policies
    • Prepare Requests for Quotes
    • Compare prices and delivery dates to determine appropriate supplier selection
    • Negotiates with vendors on price, delivery time, and terms of payment
    • Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory
    • Respond to requestor and vendor inquiries regarding order status, changes, or delays
    • Checks invoices for accuracy, reconcile monthly credit card purchases, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment
    • Evaluates vendor performance
    • Prepares and send purchase orders to requestor to ensure items purchased have been received and are inventoried and properly recorded in a database
    • Prepares and maintains purchasing documentation within Rite's electronic purchasing filing system
    • Maintain Approved Vendor list
    • Create New Vendor profiles, as needed, within Accounting System
    • Work within Accounting System to ensure records are properly entered and recorded
  • Office Administration
    • Act as the primary point of contact in the CT office for administrative items
    • Monitor and order office and kitchen supplies
    • Assist with other projects as needed
    • Prepare office for meetings which includes; setting up meeting equipment, ordering lunches, making copies
    • Assist Administrative Team with other duties as needed
  • Cash receipts
    • Receive and verify cash receipts (Checks and EFTs)
    • Perform Bank Deposits
    • Enter cash receipts into accounting system

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Professional / Administrative experience
  • BS or BA in Business or related field preferred
  • Must have strong work ethics, be well organized and a self-starter
  • Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a personable and professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Deltek CostPoint experience preferred
  • Government Contracting experience preferred
